While iconic radio personality Stan Mars is set to debut a new show on Kfm 94.5, Heart 104.9 FM announced a shake-up too with Suga moving to the mid-morning show.
Bringing nearly three decades of experience to the station, Stan Mars, a beloved name in the Cape Town radio and entertainment scene will debut a new show on Sundays from 18h00 to 21h00.
“I am beyond excited to be joining Kfm 94.5! Joining the number one station has always been a dream of mine, and I am looking forward to a wonderful journey with the Kfm 94.5 audience and team,” said Stan Mars.
Of Stan's appointment, Kfm 94.5 station manager, Hennie Myburgh said: "Stan brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Western Cape’s audience. His arrival comes at a pivotal moment for Kfm 94.5, as we evolve our programming and strengthen our connection with listeners across the Western Cape and beyond.”
With an already award-winning lineup including Darren Simpson, Tracey Lange, EB Inglis and Carl Wastie, Stan’s arrival reinforces the steadfast and deep relationship that Kfm 94.5 has with the communities of the Western Cape through music and storytelling.
Heart FM is evolving
Heart FM is also fine-tuning its line-up, and bringing in fresh energy to keep audiences entertained, informed, and connected. After listening to what audiences want, Heart 104.9 FM said the people want change. "After extensive research and feedback from our loyal listeners, we’re excited to introduce a refreshed schedule that keeps your favourite voices while welcoming new personalities who bring fresh perspectives, dynamic conversations, and a beat that keeps the Western Cape moving," the station said in a statement.
A mid-morning refresh
Suga is taking over the mid-morning slot from 09h00-12h00 with her signature warmth, sound, and vibrant energy, keeping you entertained.
Lunga stays at lunchtime
The Bow-Wow of radio, Lunga Singama remains at the 12h00-15h00 slot, bringing you the perfect mix of music and feel-good vibes.

The Breakfast & Drive Show
The station however remained mum about who will be behind the mic on the Breakfast and Drive shows respectively. All they said was: "The Breakfast and Drive shows are about to get bolder, fresher, and more exciting than ever before. Expect next-level energy, unexpected moments, and a brand-new way to experience your favourite shows."
