Fans suffering from 80’s nostalgia can now book Princes “Purple Rain” house on Airbnb in Minnesota, Minneapolis in the United States.

The house was listed by Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman, members of The Revolution, who co-starred with Prince in the film and serve as the house’s hosts.

The listing comes as the “Purple Rain” movie celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

According to the hosts, the white two storey home is jammed with epic memorabilia that will give guests a rare perspective into Prince’s creative process during his “Purple Rain” era and through the eyes of two people who lived through it.

“’Purple Rain’ is the greatest movie of all time. This is not opinion, this is fact. Now, 40 years after the movie’s release, we’re bringing it back to life.

“Not only did we lock down The Kid’s unforgettable childhood home, but we also restored the interior to a new level of glory.

“The whole place is a tribute—nay, a shrine—to both the movie itself and the moment in time that launched Prince into the stratosphere,” said the host.

So how much do you pay for this experience.

Well, it starts from as little as R117 a guest and includes exploring Prince’s legendary wardrobe, sleeping in The Kid’s basement bedroom and smelling Prince’s curated scent bar featuring his favourite perfumes.
