Morocco, Gulf to expand tourism resorts

Rabat - Morocco signed a $1,8-billion deal with two Gulf firms for a new tourism complex in the town of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, MAP news agency said on Saturday.

Rabat signed a "letter of intent" for the €1,4-billion project with Abu Dhabi's Ithmaar Development Company and Gulf Finance House at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Friday, MAP added.

The project will include a health tourism complex covering 270 hectares.
