REVIEW: MURDER 2

WHY they called it Murder 2 remains a bigger mystery than that of the killer in the plot, as this film is nowhere near the theme of its supposed predecessor Murder.
The producers probably decided to cash in on the success of the music of Murder, but even there this supposed sequel has nothing to write home about.
The story by Mahesh Bhatt, though, will have viewers on the edge of their seats in a lot of scenes, with some excellent dialogue thrown in.
Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) is a cop-turned tough drug dealer with a chip on his shoulder from his past that does not allow him to have a meaningful relationship with his model girlfriend Priya (Jacqueline Fernandez), who also has a psychological problem.
Arjun cares little for anyone as a pimp calls on his aid after his call girls disappear without a trace.
Initially reluctant, Arjun puts all his efforts into the matter when a young schoolgirl disappears to find the killer, resulting in tense moments created by director Mohit Suri.
Both Emraan and Jacqueline perform their roles well, but Prashant Narayan, playing the evil killer Dheeraj, is the one most likely to get nominated for awards. With a lot of baring and daring as Emraan resumes his serial kisser tag at the start of the film before the serial killer steals the limelight with the violence, this one is not for family viewing.
