Whether viewers are looking to binge a captivating series or follow some of the controversial reality shows, there is a surplus of exciting shows this season featuring local beloved stars to keep many entertained.

Married at first sight Mzansi’

In the show, eight aspirants consent to marry a stranger as part of a risky experiment.

Scientific matchmaking techniques are used by specialised professionals, such as a sociologist, spiritualist, and relationship coach, to identify each pair, who will not have met or communicated with one another prior to the wedding day.

The relationships, including honeymoons and other realistic occurrences of married life, are then chronicled in the Mzansi Magic series.

Born Into Fame’

A Showmax Original reality highlights youngsters of well-known parents. It’s a real-life look at how their special childhood impacted their lives, both the benefits and obstacles that came with their parents’ fame.

AJ Mafokate and Owami Mafokate, the children of Arthur Mafokate; Ringo Madlingozi’s son Phila Madlingozi; Robbie Malinga Jr, the son of the late Robbie Malinga; Shamiso Mosaka, the daughter of Azania Mosaka; and Tank The Rockstar, the son of DJ Tira, are among the cast members.

The Mommy Club offers an insight into the glamorous lives of the women who have been providing the glitz, drama, and extravagance that audiences adore.

Sugar & Spice is the first spinoff of the wildly popular Showmax Original series, The Mommy Club. The actors in the cast include Abigail Nepaul, 41, Neetasha Singh Bugwandin, 36, Christina Devraj, 26, Devina Knowles, 43, Kim Jones, 33, Lenore Goss-Matjies, 45, and the twins, Losh and Resh Naidoo.

Shebeen Queens’

This show follows the lives of shebeen queens as they try to balance parenting with keeping their businesses afloat in a cut-throat, all-hours industry that is filled with liquor and laughter and has historically been male dominated.

The entrepreneurs include Alina Sishange, Emily Thabang Leeuw, aka Big Mama, and Xoliswa Shwayimba.
