Meta has announced that it will be rolling out AI Studio in the United States which will allow people to create, share and discover AIs.

According to Meta, the new AI Studio which is built with Llama 3.1 allows people to create AI chatbots as well as creators to build an AI as an extension of themselves to reach more fans.
Create an AI character based on your interests
People can create the AI characters at ai.meta.com/ai-studio or in the Instagram app.
Users can use a variety of prompt templates or start from scratch to make an AI that teaches them how to cook, helps them with their Instagram captions and generates memes to make friends laugh.
This new AI can be shared with friends and followers. They can also be available for anyone to discover and chat with on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and web.
To creating the AI character, people need to visit ai.meta.com/ai-studio or start a new message on Instagram and then tap “AI chats.”
From there, people can customise their AI character’s name, personality, tone, avatar and tagline. A step-by-step guide with expert tips and best practices is also available help people bring their AI character to life.
Creators
Uisng the AI studio, Instagram creators can set up an AI as an extension of themselves that can be used to answer DM questions and story replies.
Instagram creators can customise their AI based on things such as Instagram content, topics to avoid and links they want it to share.
On the professional dashboard in the Instagram app, creators can turn auto-replies on and off, and even choose who their AI replies to. Responses from creator AIs are labelled to allow for complete transparency for fans.
Meta said that there are policies and protections in place to keep people safe and help ensure AIs are used responsibly.
