Fans of music icon Sir Elton John are set to see another side to the superstar in his brand-new documentary.

“Elton John: Never Too Late” will premiere on Disney + on December 13.

Directed by RJ Cutler and David Furnish, it will delve deep into the English singer and songwriter’s rise to fame, his creative genius and every challenge they had to overcome in the world of music, all while offering an intimate look at the person behind the hits.

It will also follow the “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” hitmaker as he looks back on his life and the astonishing early days of his 50-year career in this emotionally charged, intimate and uplifting full-circle journey.

“As he prepares for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back in time to recount the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction to become the icon he is today,” a statement read.

The documentary will also feature a new original song from the 77-year-old.

Before launching on Disney+, “Elton John: Never Too Late” will debut with a limited theatrical run on November 15 in the US and the UK.

The original documentary from Disney Branded Television is produced by Rocket Entertainment and This Machine Filmworks, which is a part of Sony Pictures Television.

Meanwhile, Cutler and Furnish also serve as producers alongside Trevor Smith.

John’s final North American concert, the Emmy-winning “Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium,” is now available to stream on Disney+.

John has become a household name across the globe for over six decades.

He has had more than 50 Top-40 hits on the UK Singles Chart and US Billboard Hot 100, including nine number ones in either country as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the US.

He has sold over 300 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. John is also the most successful solo artist in the history of the US Billboard charts.

Meanwhile, in 2021, he became the first solo artist with UK top 10 singles across six decades.

The legendary musician is also one of only 19 entertainers to win the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony wards). His winnings include an Emmy Award, five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards and a Tony Award.

He also won two Golden Globes, a Laurence Olivier Award and the Kennedy Center Honor.
