Mzansi cappella group The Joy show no signs of slowing down, even after just releasing their debut self titled 11-track album.

The 5-piece vocal group which is made up of Pastor (Ntokozo Bright Magcaba), Duzie (Melokuhle Mkhungo), Guduza (Sphelele Hlophe), Sthombe (Phelelani Sithole) and Marcus (Sanele Ngcobo), have now joined forces with rising British songstress, Debbie, on their heartfelt new single “Feeling of Love”.

The song, according to a statement, combines Debbie's expressive vocals with The Joy's ecstatic, genre-bending sound to convey a powerful and daring message about the feelings that come after discovering genuine love.

The music video is set in Durban and showcases the group and Debbie singing cappella style on uMhlanga’s Whale Bone Pier and O'Connor Promenade.

The release of the song follows the group's inclusion in the TikTok Visionary Voices Africa List, of 15 game-changers who are blazing a trail of viral trends, creativity, and cultural acumen in the digital realm.

“We're thrilled to be recognised by TikTok alongside so many inspiring African creators. This platform has been invaluable in sharing our music globally,” they said about their recognition as educators and advocates of Africa's boundless potential.

They added: “As we celebrate this honour, we're excited to invite our fans to experience 'Feeling of Love,' our new collaboration with the incredible Debbie.

“This track embodies the joy and unity we always aim to spread through our music.”

The group, which hails from Hammarsdale, KZN, have been together since they were teenagers.

They made their UK debut TV appearances in 2023 on the BBC coverage of Glastonbury and as part of popular UK pianist and band leader Jools Holland’s 30th anniversary.

They also performed with American rapper Doja Cat at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, USA.

Later, the superstar released “Acknowledge Me”, “Disrespectful” and “Shutcho,” featuring The Joy, which were all re-imagined to incorporate lyrics in Zulu.
