After rising to fame on social media in 2018 with their song, “Brandy Special”, and following it up with a Samas win, South African Afrikaans pop band, Posduif, are proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
The band, which consists of James Boland (lead singer and guitarist), Jordaan (rhythm guitarist and singer), Amiel Gopal (bassist), Campbell (producer and lead guitarist), and Nick McCreadie (drummer), have just dropped a fiery new track titled, “Houer Van Jou Geheim”.
The single comes hot on the heels of their upbeat album, “Brandstigter”, which has spread like wildfire across the Afrikaans music scene.
Their new standalone single, offers listens a story that is waiting to be unravelled.
According to Boland, it is about “sharing your soul with someone’’.
“It can be anyone you love like your child, parent, friend or partner. It's about that person with whom you can share yourself, your deepest secrets and share dreams with them without them judging you.
“This person only wants the best for you and will always be there for you and if you are that person that you will always be there for them.”
According to the press statement, the track ignites intrigue with its title, leaving listeners wondering about the story behind the secret.
“The song's ambiguity allows fans to create their own narrative. While ‘Houer Van Jou Geheim’ offers a fresh perspective, the band retains their signature energy,” read the statement.
The new song will form part of their playlist alongside their new album at upcoming concerts in South Africa and Namibia.
