As Kaizer Chiefs prepare to face new Betway Premiership outfit Marumo Gallants at Free State Stadium on Saturday, defender Given Msimango says he expects the game to produce fire works.

Msimango said he was looking forward to the game on Saturday but pointed out that the now Free state-based outfit was a well-coached side.

"The team is looking forward to the opening fixture on Saturday against Marumo Gallats, a worthy team. A well-coached team by coach Dan Malesela, we all know his playing style so it's going to be a very entertaining game," Msmango said.

Despite, the Phefeni Glamour Boys having played minimal pre-season games, Msimango said the team was ready to compete and added the club has roped in good conditioning coaches.

"I think the fans and the people at large should have faith in the technical team the club has hired, we have a good quality conditioning coach in coach Safi Majdi, who has ensured that our fitness level are on par with where we need to be at this stage of our pre-season, it's been a long pre-season but I feel we dealt with it very well.

“I guess the best test will come on Saturday for us to show what we have been working on and just deliver good results for the club”.

Amakhosi are looking to redeem themselves this season under a new coach, Nasreddine Nabi, after a dismal campaign last season that saw them finish in 10th place in the premiership.

Nabi, however, has warned the club's supporters against unrealistic expectations and has pleaded with the loyal fan base to remain patient as he seeks to turn this around at the club.
