Former Kaizer Chiefs player Junior Khanye says defender Siyabonga Ngezana does not deserve to be part of the Bafana Bafana setup.
Khanye’s comments come after Ngezana struggled in Bafana’s 3-2 win over South Sudan in their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday afternoon.
The Romania-based Ngezana committed a foul in the 14 minute which led to the “Bright Stars” being awarded a penalty.

Speaking to Idiski TV after the game on Tuesday, Khanye said the former Chiefs defended did not deserve to be part of the national team.
“Somebody is pushing him and that’s the problem we have with South African football. So like it or not, we’re going to watch him.
“But if we’re honest, he does not deserve to be there and his situation I can compare to that of Veli Mothwa. They need to earn their place in the national team, especially when you start the game and finish it,” Khanye said.
Khanye added that Bafana coach Hugo Broos should have substituted Ngezana.
“In this game, I would not have minded the coach substituted him. he put us under pressure beginning, we’re playing away and your position is wrong.”
Khanye also pointed out that while youngster Rushwin Dortley was highly talented, he was being rushed into the national team.
“He has the talent (Dortley) but I want him to play more and I think that’s the mistake we’re making as South Africa, we’re rushing him to the team” Khanye concluded.
