Tiger Woods may not have been very busy on the golf course over the last year, but in an unprecedented move, he announced his new relationship on social media on Sunday.

Woods confirmed on X that he is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.

Woods, of course, was involved in one of the most well-documented celebrity cheating sex scandals this century back in 2010. That resulted in a divorce from his wife, Elin Nordegren, and a hiatus from golf at the time. The couple had two children together— Sam and Charlie.

Woods checked into a rehab clinic around that time for sex addiction, while more than 10 women came forward, alleging they were intimately involved with the golf icon.

Tiger Woods' private life: Relationships with Lindsay Vonn and Erica Herman

Since then, Woods has kept his social life as private as possible, for one of the most recognisable sports stars on the planet.

Since the divorce, Woods has been in long-term relationships with professional skier Lindsay Vonn (2013– 2015) and then Erica Herman.

In March 2023, news broke that Herman and Woods had split after first being linked in 2017.

Earlier this month, the 15-time major winner confirmed that he had undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Just before that, Gary Player said Woods might not be able to walk Augusta at The Masters next month.

That effectively rules Woods out for The Masters and likely the other three majors in 2025. Before that, the playing prospects of the 49-year-old already seemed dire this year.

Woods has had so many health challenges over the last few years, especially after a serious car crash in February 2021 that badly injured his ankle. It was seen as a remarkable achievement that he could even walk normally again.

Since that accident four years ago, Woods has played in 11 tournaments and missed four cuts.

More recently, Woods had back surgery in September last year and only returned to golf in December in the father-son event PNC Championship, where he managed to walk 54 holes.

That’s been the only appearance he has made on a golf course in front of TV audiences since, and now he will have even more time out of the game.
