DURBAN - Today the world honours Archbishop Desmond Tutu as he celebrates his 90th birthday.
Earlier in the day, President Cyril Ramaphosa extended his “warmest congratulations” to Tutu as a respected cleric and anti-apartheid campaigner.
Ramaphosa paid tribute to Tutu for his role as a fighter in the cause for human rights, for equality and for social justice in the 59 years since his ordination.
