It might be a rather miniscule three-seater, but this Toyota concept's aim in life is to bring the family together.
The 3-metre-long Camatte57s concept was, quite appropriately, unveiled at the Tokyo Toy Show.
This 'toy' was created for adults and kids to enjoy and was inspired by the "fun that generations of parents and children have had making things together."
Its body is made up of 57 small, lightweight and detachable panels that can be finished in a wide variety of colours and designs.
This stems from the belief that involving youngsters in choosing the shape and look of a car will help these drivers of the future learn more about the fun aspects of motoring.
Its design even allows young ones to take to the wheel, in a safe environment away off the public roads, of course. The pedals and seats can be adjusted around children, while the position of the right-hand rear seat will let adults assist with the steering and braking.
It's a greenie too, the open-top roadster being powered by an electric motor. Its outputs are not specified, but we're not expecting fireworks to be part of this family activity.
