The Miss World South Africa Organisation has crowned Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, 18, as Miss World South Africa.
Jansen van Rensburg, a digital and marketing executive at Scuderia Ferrari South Africa, will represent the country at the 72nd Miss World pageant in February 2025.
“Pageants are a festival of grace, diversity, elegance, beauty, talent, inner beauty, and charisma,” said Carol Bouwer, license holder and President of the Miss World South Africa Organisation.
Zoalize's "Beauty with a Purpose" project, Never Too Young to Advocate (NTYTA), played a key role in her victory. The project aims to give global visibility to youth through social media, focusing on education, mental strength, and self-encouragement.
“I hope to use the power of social media to enrich our community with mental fortitude and self-encouragement,” Zoalize said.
Bouwer praised Zoalize’s poise throughout the competition, calling her a "deserving, down-to-earth, and intelligent woman" who “showcased her unique qualities, which will undoubtedly inspire many others with grace and charm.”
Zoalize, passionate about advocacy, works with various charities, including Unchain our Children, a non-profit organization combating injustices such as gender-based violence and human trafficking.
Reflecting on her ambitions for the Miss World competition, Zoalize expressed her desire to bring the prestigious crown back to South Africa.
“That crown is my biggest ambition because it is a vessel for change, and that in itself holds so much power,” she said.
Zoalize will now prepare to compete for the global title, hoping to secure South Africa’s fourth Miss World crown.
