A bride from hell!? A bridesmaid decided to ditch the wedding party after receiving ridiculous demands from her friend, the bride.

Weddings are meant to be exciting and fun, but the planning involved in modern weddings may cause a lot more stress, leaving a sour taste in the mouth for some.

This is especially true for those who are meant to be helping the bride. Whether it comes to planning ahead or simply assisting on the day, the persons in charge of helping a bride is the bridesmaids.

To make things run a bit more smoothly, a bride depends on her bridesmaids so one would think that she would treat them well.

This bride however, treated her bridesmaids more like staff, rather than friends.

A Reddit user has taken to the “Bridezilla” page to vent about what the bride is expecting from them.

The bridesmaid writes that the bride has practically given them a contract stating exactly what is expected of and from them and who pays for what.

At the top of her list is the bridesmaids’ attire which includes the dress, shoes and any alterations.

The bride expects the bridesmaids to each pay for their own attire which she says could amount to as much as $200 (about R3,500).

The bridesmaids are also expected to pay for their own hair and makeup, which could set them back up to $300 (about R5,400).

When it comes to the bachelorette party, the entire bridal party is expected to pay. They should all see that drinks, food, entertainment, and travel costs are split evenly.

The same applies to the bridal shower. Bridesmaids are expected to bring shower gifts too which cannot be the same as wedding gifts and they will each need to contribute $50 (about R900).

These are just a few of the items on the long list of demands on the “contract.”

After seeing the list of demands this bridesmaid decided to drop out of the wedding party. Reddit users don’t blame her for doing so.

“I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: If you want staff, hire them and pay them. You can’t expect your friends to be unpaid servants just because you’re getting married — you’re not that special!,” commented one person.

“I would’ve absolutely backed out of this immediately as well,” said another.
