At the healthcare session titled "Enhancing Inclusivity to Amplify Healthcare Intelligence", Huawei, in collaboration with industry partners, unveiled the Medical Technology Digitalization 2.0 Solution, an innovative platform that leverages AI-assisted diagnosis and intelligent quality control, promoting precise healthcare, diagnosis and treatment.

Medical imaging accounts for a staggering 80% of clinical data, and Huawei's solution aims to fully harness this data's potential, enhancing clinical diagnosis, decision-making, and disease prevention.

By integrating its AI, computing, storage, and networking capabilities, the Medical Technology Digitalisation 2.0 Solution enhances quality control and diagnostic accuracy, ultimately improving healthcare service delivery. Its implementation has already taken place in projects like the Fourth People's Hospital of Shenyang, in China.

The solution’s AI-driven technology significantly boosts medical imaging processes. It intelligently assesses and scores image quality with an impressive accuracy rate of 98%, which not only elevates image standards but also supports intelligent segmentation, detection, and quantitative analysis of image data.

This functionality effectively reduces the missed diagnosis rate and shortens diagnosis time by 40%, which significantly enhances treatment efficiency.

For ultrasounds, the Solution uses digital and intelligent imaging devices powered by Open Harmony operating system, and its AI-device synergy with low-latency video transmission, enables real-time AI-assisted diagnosis and centralised quality control region wide.

This means that Ultrasound quality control can now realise full coverage instead of just conducting spot checks, with the system achieving an end-to-end delay of less than 150 milliseconds. This rapid response time contributes to ongoing improvements in ultrasound diagnosis quality and efficiency.

Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and President of the Global Public Sector, said that the next few years hold important opportunities for digital and intelligent technologies to propel the high-quality development of healthcare.

“Huawei focuses on root technologies and continuously innovates and optimises scenario-specific solutions for the healthcare industry,” Junfeng added.
