- If you've been wondering about the unusual wire construction protruding from the old underpass as you drive up towards Tollgate Bridge from the city centre, then head to Durban Art Gallery for the Houses of Memory Exhibition. South African artists will be exhibiting similar kinds of images to this public installation by Doung Anwar Jahangeer. Entrance is free. Tel: 031-311-2262.

- Durban guitarist, Barry Thomson, is back due to popular demand to perform a tribute show to bands and guitar greats such as Santana, Eric Clapton and The Eagles. His band includes Mali Sewell, Mark Freel, Dawn Selby and 11-year old guitar prodigy, Martin Creed. Catch them at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest until May 20. Tel: 031-765-4197.

- If you feel like getting your weekend moving then head to the Luna Lounge in Botha's Hill. Saturday mornings are busy but you can take part in tai chi classes at 9am and freestyle dance classes at 10.30am. - If you've every wondered about the backstage life of cabaret dancers then go along to … And 5, 6, 7, 8! playing at the Catalina Theatre until April 22. This South African play was written by Terry Davidoff and Steven Pillemer. It is strictly for adults only and performances are at 8pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6pm on Sundays.
