Cassper Nyovest is on a crazy wave right now.
Not only is his latest album, Thuto doing big numbers he’s also making some major moves internationally. Yesterday, Cassper was interviewed on the New York City based radio show, The Breakfast Club, hosted by DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.
He spoke about the controversy over Kanye West apparently recycling his #FillUpOrlando floating stage, his position on the African hip hop scene and broke down some lyrics from his album. When he was asked about his beef with AKA (they didn’t specifically say AKA's name), Cassper declined to speak on it and instead said, simply: “I was the underdog at that point, and then I took over. Now I’m Mufasa.”
Cassper handled his interview with immense composure and poise, and he certainly flew the South African flag high. On Saturday, he’ll be performing at the One Africa Music Festival in New York. Big moves!
