Joyleen Seboni, 32, and Jan Madimetja Tladi, 51,  were joined in holy matrimony in Sunday's episode of "Our Perfect Wedding". The couple from Mathibela in Limpopo met at a friend's graduation party, which was organised by Jan.

The duo caught each other's eye but didn't get a chance to speak at the party. However, while driving home after the celebration, Joyleen's car broke down and Jan came to her rescue.

That started a pursuit of love, with the groom visiting her at work three days in a row. Within those three days, he took her to the mall to pick out a ring even before declaring his love.

Jan is not a man to waste time because a week later, he whisked her away on a weekend getaway.

"Before we left for the weekend, he came to me and told me he loved me. And that he didn't want to waste time, his actions were clear," said Joyleen.

The couple has seven children between themselves, three each from their previous relationships and one from their union.

Building up to the wedding day, Jan's "jealous" ex-wife became a thorn in their side, and escalated to a point where she got banned from attending the wedding. Joyleen said she was determined to show all the ladies that Jan is now taken.

With a bridal party of 14 people, the couple opted to focus on tradition for the  two-day celebration. The couple's wedding theme was blue and yellow.  The groom wore a checkered blue suit on their first day, and bridal party wore royal blue and yellow outfits.

But before changing into her white dress, Joyleen had to parade the streets in her sePedi outfit, accompanied by two of her married sisters, "to show that I am a Pedi woman."

After the 'I Dos' the couple changed into their traditional outfits. Joyleen's final send-off was done at her family home with food and dancing.

Day two was a continuation of the traditional ceremony at the groom's family home, where the bride was introduced to the family, given a new name, along with her three children.

She wore her full sePedi outfit upon being welcomed and was given the name Thuthuthu, which belonged to Madimetja's grandmother.

The couple changed back to their matrimonial attire, paraded the streets before changing into their last traditional outfit.

So with four outfits, a brass band, a fruitcake, dancing and speeches given by those close to the couple, they were finally Mr and Mrs Tladi.

Despite the hiccups leading up to the celebration, the newlyweds felt their two-day celebration "was the perfect wedding" after all
