Award-winning rapper Nadia Nakai is giving viewers a front row seat to her life through her upcoming reality show, “Nadia: Beyond Bragga”.
The 10-part series will offer viewers an unprecedented look into her personal life as well as her career as a rapper, entrepreneur and TV personality.
According to a statement from the MTV, the show goes beyond the glitz and glamour to reveal who Nakai really is outside her relationship with the late South African rap icon, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
“The show delves deep into her life as an artist, entrepreneur, and a ‘girl's girl’, while exploring the complexities of her personal relationships.
“As an acclaimed artist, Nadia Nakai is set to elevate her career to new heights with a one-woman show, fresh music releases, and lucrative brand deals. But the question remains: Can she handle the pressure?,” it read.
Nakai shared that she is excited to share her “colourful world” with viewers.
“My OG fans and those who don't know me well, will equally get to see a different side to who I am through this show.
“Your girl is more than just an artist, I’m also a woman trying to navigate the challenges of life, love, and business. So, strap in and best believe ‘Beyond Bragga’s’ going to be nothing but raw and real, as I tell things my way. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Meanwhile, Monde Twala, senior vice president and co-general manager, Paramount Africa & Lead BET International said that Nakai’s story is set to entertain the African continent.
“Authenticity and lived experiences are the heartbeat that continues to shape, transform and inspire pop culture.
