Samthing Soweto on Tuesday responded to DJ Maphorisa’s Instagram live from a week ago at 3am! While many people were sleeping, he was busy typing away on social media. Is he going through a lot?

Fans wondered whether the artist had insomnia or was he just waiting for the perfect moment to strike back DJ Maphorisa for claiming that he gave him the full master of his 2019 album, “Isphithiphithi”, without payment.

In multiple tweets, Samthing Soweto slammed DJ Maphorisa, saying, "DJ Maphorisa shouldn't lie the way he does; it's gonna get him into trouble one day. I paid Phori for my Masters. I paid an amount that he asked for at the time. Furthermore, I lied about Phori's contributions to my project, he didn't produce anything."

The two musicians have been in an ongoing feud, fired up by the release of the song “Amalanga Awafani”, which started because Samthing Soweto was not credited due to a dispute over master rights.

Samthing Soweto also revealed that he lied about DJ Maphorisa’s involvement on the album because he wanted to sell records and sell his music. He however admits he did not expect him to go around badmouthing him, saying he fed him.

The “Nodoli” hitmaker had fans wondering whether they should believe him now after admitting to lying? Is he telling the truth or pushing another clever marketing ploy? In DJ Maphorisa’s words “We are really sensing that o nale enery e pap.”

"So again, he didn't produce my music. I worked with Mas Musiq and Howard n Kabza De Small in that studio, who produced between 40-60% of my work depending on how you view it," Samthing Soweto continued.

A clear sign that the beef is far from over Samthing Soweto, said that he will address the “Amalanga Awafani” at a later stage but was just addressing claims that he was given the master to “Isphithiphithi”.
