It's the second round of the fierce rap battle between rapper Duncan and the chart-topping Big Zulu. The KZN rappers have came out with responses to each other’s recent diss tracks, this time baying for more blood and hitting further below the belt.
Last week, Big Zulu dropped “200 Bars” as a prelude to his 2022 diss track, “150 Bars”.
Leaving no stone unturned, the rappers went in on each other on the recent diss tracks, showing no mercy.
Rapping on Mgarimbe’s Sister Bethina beat, Big Zulu called Duncan a “phara” and added that it is hard for him to win a South African Music Award (SAMA) because he is whack.
On his diss track, Duncan alludes that “Imali Eningi” hitmaker and his Inkabi Nation team pay to have their music played on radio stations.
In the 2022 diss track, the dreadlocked rapper threw jabs at the prominent rappers in the local hip hop industry.
Big Zulu, whose given name is Siyabonga Nene, shook up the local hip hop industry with his “150 Bars” diss track two years ago when he targeted rappers such as Kwesta, Stogie T, K.O, Emtee, Gigi Lamayne and the late AKA, bringing the genre back to the limelight for a minute after amapiano took over.
K.O and Kwesta were some of the rappers who responded with their own diss tracks, K.O hit back with “Omega” freestyle, Kwesta titled his “Quantham” (First Load) and Emtee opted for a Instagram rant.
Among those mentioned in the diss tracks, was Durban rapper Duncan, who certainly did not take the jabs lightly, as he responded with his own clapback diss titled “Big Nd**u” (Umngcwabo).
Two years later, the beef between the KZN-born rappers shows no signs of slowing down as Sphamandla Mbambo, whose stage name is Duncan also released his second response on the same day, titled “After Tears”.
Both diss tracks were accompanied by visuals, and their fans were totally hyped.
Mbambo is evidently the most touched, as the rivalry is now between the two of them, even though other rappers were mentioned.
