Mr Music is re-branding his music career, from an Afro-Pop artist to a gospel musician, and he is set to record live his first gospel project "The Calling” at The Durban Playhouse in October.

Mr. Music, whose real name is Lungisani Mthethwa, has long been regarded as a rising star in the music industry.

His journey began as the runner up on season 16 of Idols SA. With his upcoming project "The Calling”, Mr. Music is hoping to make a significant impact on the world of gospel music.

This project promises to offer a unique blend of authentic African and contemporary praise and worship elements.

By incorporating these diverse musical influences, Mr. Music aims to create a sound that resonates deeply with his audience while staying true to his roots.

In this project, the artist will feature the sought after and inimitable Xolly Mncwango alongside a powerful and authentic worshipper who’s making waves this season, Oncemore Six.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Mr. Music shared his personal journey and the profound realisation of his calling to be a worshipper.

“For four years of being in the music industry, l've been the lost sheep, then the Lord Jesus Christ left the 99 and sought me until he found me.

“He brought me back on his shoulders. He has called me to sing and worship him. I AM A WORSHIPPER AND I AM CALLED!” said Mr Music.

Through "The Calling", Mr. Music seeks to inspire others and create a ripple effect of positivity and hope through the medium of music.
