Award-winning South African music icon Makhadzi is gearing up to release her new album, “A Miracle Child”, on October 7.

The anticipated project delves into the profound theme of overcoming life’s difficulties and celebrating triumphs.

The album’s cover art sets the tone for this deeply personal journey. It highlights significant themes such as the “Mama” hitmaker’s scandal with Sars and issues with the department of Sports, Arts and Culture.

Her latest musical offering will also delve into polygamy, an alleged miscarriage and her upcoming “One Woman Show”.

The singer has chosen to openly address these issues as she seeks to provide fans with an intimate glimpse into her experiences. In her announcement, Makhadzi reflected on how challenges and celebrations intertwine.

She wrote on Instagram: “What’s life without challenges and celebration? How do you know God?! If He has never come and rescued you and given you another chance to breathe and count more blessings?”

She added that it is a testament to the idea that all obstacles are a form of divine protection and that every victory is a miracle.

Makhadzi further describes the album as a way to embrace both pain and joy. “I decided to wear all my pain and celebrations,” she said.

“A Miracle Child” is set to be a powerful expression of how life’s trials and triumphs shape our journey, offering both solace and inspiration to listeners.

Makhadzi was honoured with the Dance Artist of the Year and International Achievement of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards which were held at the Johannesburg Theatre in August.

Earlier this year, she also won the Best International Act accolade at the BET Awards 2024.
