The South African DJ Awards (SADJs) are the first of its kind in the country. The prestigious event will be held at Moses Mabhida stadium on December 23.
There are vast categories to vote for and the public get to decide who takes the award.
Categories include Best Hip Hop DJ, Best Gqom DJ, DJ Song Of The Year and many more.
There are also categories that only on focus strictly on emerging deejays which is Best Upcoming DJand Mix DJ. The two categories are not like any other - all the nominees will be required to battle each other at the pre-party and the audience will then decide who takes the crown.
SADJ Awards are changing the interface of awards by hosting them at Peoples Park, outdoor venue.

The awards will present an interactive and irresistible musical experience using sound, interactive stage, dance, live performances, theatre of the mind and active collaborations of deejays and musicians.
To headline the first annual SADJ Awards is Durban’s legends Dj Tira & Sox also known as Durban’s Finest , Veranda Panda, The Duchaz (Kasi Mlungu), Dj Bongs, Culeo Da Song.
Khaya Dladla (GC on UZalo) & Rorisang Thandekiso ( Mzansi Insider present) will be hosting the event.
Activations will commence in the all hot spots in around KZN encouraging upcoming deejays to enter for the Best Upcoming & Mix DJ.
