One award at a time! Tyla is filling up her accolades stand with back to back wins

From making history, having the most streamed female African album to collecting awards, Tyla Laura Seethal who is fondly known as Tyla is stopping at nothing when it comes to securing wins.

This year alone, she has received five international awards and five local awards.

International Awards

The most notable being a win at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance, she is the youngest African artist to win at the Grammys. Followed by two Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards for Best International Act and Best New Artist.

The Amapiano superstar was also recently honoured with a Global Force Award at the Billboard R&B No.1’s event for her viral song, Water. Last night she accepted a MTV Video Music Award at the USB Arena in Elmont, New York.

Local Awards

The 22 year-old has not only been recognised for her music but her fashion sense as well, she was recognised as the Most Stylish Performing Artist at the South African Style Awards in March 2024.

The winning did not stop there as she won three awards for Song of the Year, International Achievement and Highest Airplay at the 3rd Annual Basadi in Music.

She was recognised in her homeland for a Global Icon Award at the Metro FM Music Awards 2024. The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture also gave her nod for Best International Act at the Cultural and Creative Industry Awards.

The Grammy Award-winning star continues to make headlines as she has also graced the cover of Elle magazine for the October 2024 issue.
