Makhadzi has won two major awards at the Basadi in Music Awards which were held at the Johannesburg Theatre.
She was honoured with the Dance Artist of the Year and International Achievement of the Year awards.
During her acceptance speech, Makhadzi entertained the audience by joking about her struggles with English.
Makhadzi, whose real name is Ndivhunzannyi Ralivhona, went on to say that she had "manifested" her awards with her song “Number.1” and that she was done putting others first, deciding to put herself first from that day forward.
“I am tired of putting people first. I am putting myself first from today," she said.
Makhadzi’s acceptance speech ended on a powerful note as she lay down on the stage, a traditional gesture used by Venda women to show respect, honouring the fans who voted for her.

Earlier this year, Makhadzi also won the BET Viewers' Choice: Best International Act award at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
This international recognition, along with her recent victories at the Basadi in Music Awards, highlights her growing influence and success in the music industry.
Makhadzi also thanked her fans, known as ‘Khadzinators,’ on Instagram for their support.
She wrote: “Congratulations Khadzinators, won two awards @basadiinmusicawards_sa. Thank you so much for your love. God added more blessings.
“But my English speech always disappoints me, what's this now, hay this girl! Please say sorry by buying my tickets for my show online. She ended the post with, “I love you.”
