Rihanna has once again stolen the spotlight, this time with a heart-warming revelation about her journey into motherhood.

The iconic singer and business mogul, known for her chart-topping hits and revolutionary Fenty Beauty line, took to Instagram on International Women's Day to share a touching tribute featuring her two sons.

In an unexpected twist, she revealed that she gave birth while exquisitely dressed in pearls and sunglasses.

On Saturday, March 9, the “Umbrella” hitmaker posted two never-before-seen photos of her children, whom she shares with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

The first image captures the tender moment shortly after the birth of her first son, RZA, in May 2022, with Rihanna holding him close to her chest.

Dressed in a dazzling diamond-crusted pearl choker, multiple gold chains, and a striking gold medallion necklace, she radiated elegance even in those early moments of motherhood.

Rihanna has once again stolen the spotlight, this time with a heartwarming revelation about her journey into motherhood.

The second photo features Rihanna cradling her second son, Riot Rose, born in August 2023, showcasing her whimsical side with a pair of pink sunglasses.

“By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman... my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay,” the 37-year-old global superstar wrote in the caption.

In a playful nod to her glamorous ensemble during childbirth, Rihanna added, “And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses... don’t ask, a lot was happening.”

The candid post quickly garnered over eight million likes, causing a social media stir as fans and fellow celebrities marvelled at her effortless elegance.

Pop star Katy Perry described the photos as “the best”, while television host Padma Lakshmi remarked, “Always dazzling”.

Elaine Welteroth jokingly commented, “Baddie even during birth! Why do we love you so much?”

Further showcasing the joys and challenges of motherhood, Rihanna recently opened up in a February 2025 interview with “Harper’s Bazaar”, offering insights into her sons’ unique personalities.

Describing RZA as “an empath”, she said, “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”

Contrast that with her younger son, who she fondly described as “just hilarious”, sharing how he greets each morning with a joyful squeal reminiscent of an enthusiastic alarm clock.

Rihanna also addressed the transition from a family of three to four.

She recalled how RZA struggled initially after Riot's arrival, a common scenario for new siblings. “At first, Riot was understanding that his role was being the little brother. Now he knows he’s in charge,” she added, reflecting on the dynamics of their evolving family.
