More than 30 years after they divorced acrimoniously, Goldie Hawn’s second husband is taking revenge.

Bill Hudson has written a tell-all book in which he claims that the actress snorted cocaine - and turned up for their initial date with her first husband.

The former pop star, a member of the successful Hudson Brothers group, says his first night out with Miss Hawn happened in 1975 at a Chinese restaurant when he complained to her that the man opposite him at their table of four was being rude.

She replied: “Oh, um, that’s my husband”.

Hudson, 61, says he was horrified to discover she was still married to director Gus Trikonis.

On the second date they went to a Rolling Stones concert where he claimed “a large plate of cocaine came by and she took a huge snort”. Afterwards, he says, they had a 12-hour sex session, even though she was still married, and declared their love for one another.

The claims are in Hudson’s memoir, Two Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family.

He married Miss Hawn in 1976 and they had a son, Oliver, and daughter, Kate, who are both actors.

The pair divorced after four turbulent years and Hudson has had little contact with any of the family since.

He writes about her habit of referring to herself in the third person with such phrases as: “Goldie will do whatever she wants, when she wants”. And he claims that before their marriage, her father warned him: “Just watch yourself. I know she’s my daughter, but Goldie tends to want a different man for every mood she’s in.”

Hudson also alleges she mentioned her affairs with a number of European men and the actor Warren Beatty - and begged him for an open marriage.

Following the divorce Miss Hawn, now 65, began a relationship with actor Kurt Russell, now 60, and the pair have been together ever since.

She went on to become one of the most successful stars of the 1980s and 90s and appeared in a string of hit films including Bird on a Wire and Death Becomes Her. Hudson married American actress Cindy Williams and had two children with her but they divorced too.

His claims could reignite the war of words between himself and daughter Kate, who has made it clear she has no time for him.

Hudson says: “I love Kate, but she has done stuff which is just awful. She is a spoiled brat in my eyes.” - Daily Mail
