Tannie Evita on elections:

Municipal elections, of course they’re boring.

But aren’t we lucky in this country. Speaking of natural disasters, we have none of that, no tornadoes, no tsunamis – all we have is Julius Malema.

Glamorous or not, municipal elections is what makes our cities work. We are only 17 years old. Our voices haven’t even broken yet even if everything else is broken.

The cancer of corruption is terminal. We have to use the chemotherapy of democracy to halt the tide.

Tannie Evita on her new book:

Write everything on to a piece of paper. Empty your head and anything can happen.

Tannie Evita on life:

The things we are blessed with far outweigh the negative. Embrace what is happening in your life.
