South African golden girl Tyla is enjoying every moment of stardom.

Shortly after her epic performance at the Summer Sonic music festival in Tokyo, Japan, Tyla, wearing luxury designs, is on the cover of the Elle October issue.

Styled by George Cortina, the “Water” hitmaker looked stunning in all designer wear, including a look from the Dior Fall/Winter 24/25 Haute Couture collection she wore on the cover.

For the inside pages, she rocked a peacock feather coat by Armani Privé, a bodysuit and skirt by Schiaparelli Haute Couture and a bodysuit and cape by Chanel Haute Couture.

Out of all the looks captured by Gregory Harris, the one where she wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress and big earrings stood out the most.

Although Tyla is a global star who spends most of her time overseas, when in Mzansi, she likes spending time with her family until it’s time to party, and then she paints the streets of Soweto red.

“That’s where the real parties are. In lockdown, you weren’t really allowed to have parties, but there’d be these parties where they would let us in, and then they’d have to close the doors until the curfew ended. You’d have to stay in there until morning,” she told the gloss.

“And when police would come, we’d have to be quiet, act like nothing’s happening. Then the party would come back. South Africans just love music.”

The Grammy award-winning said 2024 was an introductory year. Next year, she wanted to have fun and play around by bringing more of her South African roots to her music.

In other news, Tyla recently dropped a video for her hit single, “Breathe Me”. And she bagged the Best Afrobeats honours at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night.
