THE Rosa Choir and Friends will deliver a one-night only concert at The Masque Theatre in Muizenberg on Sunday. The choir has been dazzling audiences with a diversity of material and delivery of each song in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa.

For this particular showcase they will team up with a range of familiar faces, including comedian Riaad Moosa, blues guitarist Elton Goslett, contemporary dancer Darion Adams and poets such as Chris Ferndale, Khadija Heeger and Siphokazi Jonas.

The story of the choir as a project of The Cape Cultural Collective will be told through music, poetry and comedy, all interspersed with short narration.

The show starts at 6.30pm with two 45 minute segments being interspersed by a 15 minute interval.

The Cape Cultural Collective is a diverse cultural group that attempts to promote ideals of unity, inclusivity and equality in communities across the Cape.

To date it has driven a number of successful arts and culture projects in the city for the last eight years. These have included monthly cultural programmes, a poetry anthology, the celebrated Rosa Choir and a poetry production, titled Uhadi, that was performed at The Paris Autumn Festival in 2013. The Cape Cultural Collective plans to launch a junior choir next month.

The collective works closely with cultural groups from Langa, Mitchells Plain and Manenberg.
