As the race for the White House draws to a close in November, it becomes clear that the Republican Party under Donald Trump is once again going to miss out.
Trump's buddy-buddy relationship with Vladimir Putin will sink him faster than the Titanic. Trump boasts about a quick settlement in Ukraine under his leadership, but Trump’s "solution" would involve Ukraine giving up hundreds of kilometres of land to Russia and possibly agreeing not to join NATO.
Trump is dreaming if he thinks this will help his campaign.
Furthermore, Trump’s suggestion that Iran’s nuclear facilities should be the first target of a retaliatory attack by Israel reveals the sheer recklessness of the man.
Finally, Trump’s continued mockery of an ageing Joe Biden by mimicking his speech impediment is ugly, unnecessary, and surely the final nail in his political coffin.
Indications are that Donald Trump will end his days on the golf course, not in the White House.
